Earlier this place was Kokum, currently renovated to "Ente Keralam" restaurant is my guess. I am not sure whether the management changed etc, But certainly I had been before when Kokum was there, they too offered 15% off on the bill if you hold a Citibank card. 

Apart from the grand entrance there is no major change in the interiors, just few photos changed, of course the menu is customized for Keralities. Most items what you see on the menu would be named in day to day life of a Keralite. The food is good, but can put a hole in your pocket for the normal home food type. When I say Home food, it is cooked properly, less spicy. Certainly will not trouble you stomach, just as you are likely to face with most restaurant foods. 

I ordered Kappa Biriyani,  Kozli Curry, few appams. I am feeling ashamed to be a Malayali because I was surprised to see Capa Biriyani with no rice, Heard from chef that Mallus prepare Kappa with beef and term them as Kappa Biriyani. Well my wife hates beef, she did taste the beef for the first time. 
Suggestion: 
  1. would be better if they mention what meat is the ingredient. Just as some non familiar Mallus who are grown up in other parts of India. :)
  2. Jeez, Appams are good, they don't melt in your mouth as the "Nallas Appa Kada" and bit more pricey than the Appa Kada was put off for my family

Good, too pricey for homely food, Ambiance is OK. Service is good.
I would rate it 2 and Half stars and Kokum was much better than Ente Keralam,  I would still rate Kokum to 3 stars or even more. ;)

Jan 26th 2011 was an auspicious day - Maha Lagu darshan, so finally some minister has finally decided to screw up all the devotes for the day. He had an VVIP darshan while the entire crowd was on queue for 9 hours. Imagine with 2 kids it was an ordeal on top of that was the Srinivasa travels promise.

Every business sounds interesting over the phone before you sign up for the service, Lots of promise and finally you get disappointed where you are supposed to enjoy.

  1. I am asked to buy the 300 INR darshan ticket, and what is srinivasa guide supposed to do?
  2. Srinivasa travels pick me up early morning at 5:45 AM at Padi junction, While on the return journey, it chooses a different route, My family is left deserted at Guindy at 2 AM on 27th of Jan 2011

Before you buy the tickets ask for the following questions
  1. If you need tonsure, Will they help you to get it done at a premium charge, Will they provide a decent place to refresh.
  2. Will they buy the required tickets for darshan before you arrive at Tirumala. If not you could travel on your own vehicle and buy the tickets on your own, there is no value addition by the travel agent.
  3. If you have pick up point different from the starting point, do ask them while return, will drop you at the pickup point you choose.

I just love Lens Hero web site, I was searching for wide angle lenses to tele, I could find them, but with a little trouble. Here are few things which bothered me.

  1. At the very start the form request for the pricing of lens is in dollars ("$") check image 1 but the results are shown in Danish Krone ("Kr") check the last image for the results view, which is little confusing for the user.  As for me I am from India, I would like to see the price in INR  (Indian National Rupee). I had to google. If there was a possible widget for money conversion it would have been nice.
  2. Filtering gives amazing control over what you want to see "image 2", but to achieve the filters you have work on "image 3" select few filters "aperture" "telephoto" to list them on the filter control. Which is actually tough. My liking would be to list all filters and disable them than not showing them. If I choose one filter like "wide" "telephoto" should get disabled automatically. I know it is tough but achievable.
  3. How about a little feature "like" or  add this lens to my "favorites". So that when I revisit the site all I do is check the list of my favorites
  4. Can you list the date of release for the lens. Currently I cannot find this data on other sites too.
  5. Compare lens of same type with other manufacturers, atleast list common data and list the specfic data at the bottom of the comparision.
